"Creating an environment that allows others to bring their authentic selves helps us build stronger relationships with one another and have a more positive impact on those we serve." Abigail, a process manager, serves as vice chair for the Women's Networking Business Resource Group. She joined the organization over a decade ago and reflects on the profound impact the support she received has had on her professional journey. "Starting in the corporate world was intimidating due to the lingo and experience of my peers. I had an amazing team that encouraged me to speak up, ask questions, and stay curious. Looking back, they were such great allies in my journey to own my voice." Abigail offers advice to jobseekers looking to empower themselves in the workplace. "Get connected, stay curious, and say yes to opportunities that come your way." Explore a career with the good neighbor. https://lnkd.in/gEkv3Ru9

Nouphay Kongphongmany is a woman of deep faith, a devoted wife, and proud mother of two. Originally from Laos, she spent the majority of her life in Louisiana, where her State Farm story began. “During a visit to his longtime State Farm independent contractor agent, my father was asked if he knew anyone who was bilingual in English and Laotian. This opportunity seemed like fate – more than just a job, it felt like an opened door to something greater.” As an agent team member, Nouphay worked as a receptionist and office manager before establishing her own State Farm agent office. “Being an agent is more than just a business; it's a calling. I find fulfillment in my work that goes beyond financial success. My central focus is giving back to the community and helping others. “My office has evolved into a local hub of connection, and my team embraces our role in fostering positive change within the communities we serve.” Learn more about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent: https://lnkd.in/giWjAvk9

This month, we celebrate the one-year anniversary of State Farm independent contractor agent Jessica Romero’s office in Albuquerque, New Mexico! “As the daughter and only child of Mexican immigrants, I carry the legacy of their sacrifices, which opened doors that would have otherwise remained closed to me. Their determination and hard work motivate me to make a difference in the lives of others.” During Women’s History Month, Jessica shares her sentiment of the State Farm agent opportunity. “Witnessing firsthand the profound impact an agent can have on people's lives inspired me to consider this opportunity. My experience with my previous State Farm agent, serving as a team member for twelve years, ignited a passion within me to create my own American Dream while empowering others.” Giving back to the community is a core value for Jessica, which she achieves by donating to local animal shelters or sponsoring local teams. “By helping as many people as possible, not only do I contribute to the well-being of our community, but I also enrich my own life in countless ways. This mission drives me every day, and I am committed to making a meaningful difference.” Learn more about becoming a State Farm independent contractor agent: https://lnkd.in/giWjAvk9 #WomensHistoryMonth

"When I opened my first agent office five years ago, my goal was to demonstrate how a determined woman can achieve any level of success she desires. I wanted to be a role model for my team and everyone I engage with, especially for my three little girls." State Farm independent contractor agent Cecy Win celebrated the opening of her second office at the start of the year. She acknowledges her achievements would not have been possible without the support of her family, team and community. "While my determination pushes us forward, I believe it's just as crucial to give back to those who have contributed to my journey. I am passionate about serving my team and the community, helping them envision how they can change their financial narrative for generations to come.
