It is believed that Joseph C. Roth, a citizen of the United States residing in the county of Erie and the State of New York, invented certain new and useful improvements in kegs or barrels using sheet metal, which can be seen in his 1897 Patent application. As the 19th century dawned, metal kegs and casks gradually replaced traditional wooden barrels, offering superior durability, efficiency and reusability. In the 60s, stainless steel became the primary metal for kegs for their superior benefits and they have been crushin’ it since then. The rest is history! Cheers to Joseph C. Roth for making beer sustainable, efficient and fresh!

It’s looking like the #CHEERSAct is one of those rare pieces of legislation winning support from both sides of the aisle. It's exciting to see more and more leaders getting behind #draftbeer from REUSABLE #steelkegs and the critical benefits they deliver to local bars, restaurants, brewpubs, and venues. The circular economy is more than just a buzz phrase. With the global population predicted to approach 9 billion people by 2030, we are using more resources than the planet can provide. Our future depends on reusing what we have in a sustainable way. But what does a #circulareconomy really mean in practice? We've mentioned it and other variations such as '#circularity' a few times. So, let's take a step back... It's about designing products that can be reused or recycled at the end of their life. Think of the humble #beer #keg: a stainless steel workhorse that gets refilled and reused for decades. Compare that to the single-use cans and bottles that end up in landfills, with recycling rates under 50%, according to the EPA (U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). Imagine the impact if more industries adopted this model! A single keg can serve 25,000 glasses of beer in its lifetime. Now multiply that by the millions of kegs used worldwide...the environmental benefits are undeniable. Let's champion the circular economy and support businesses that are committed to #sustainability. #drinkdraft #steelkegs
