Happy Friday LinkedIn! I’m happy to share that I’ve obtained a new certification: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) from American Heart Association! This is just a small step towards building my impactful career in healthcare. 👩🏾⚕️🩺 Thank you to Jeffrey Pfeiffer and CPR Hollywood for giving me the opportunity to build on my CPR/BLS skills, as well as giving me the knowledge to prevent choking hazards and how to effectively use an AED. ❤️⚕️ CPR: Saving Lives, One Beat at a Time! #stayingalive #AmericanHeartAssociation #CPR #AED #BLSCertified

Determined to become a Software Engineer.

I am unsure how to express my gratitude, but I want to thank The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration for selecting me as the winner of the 2024 STEM scholarship. It was truly a blessing to have this organization support me in pursuing my future and my post-secondary education. I cannot properly express how much I appreciate this incredible opportunity. Thank you so much, The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration. I also want to thank M. Chadwick Shank for alerting me to apply for this year's STEM scholarship. Without his reminder, I would have missed the opportunity. Thank you for sending that email. Thank you so much The Eye-Bank for Sight Restoration & M. Chadwick Shank

  • Meet our Scholars! Every year the STEM Educational Institute, Inc. provides underrepresented high school students free programming in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Financial Literacy along with mental Health Resources. We teach our students computer coding, how to budget and invest. We also make sure that they are mentally healthy by giving them resources to manage stress and other obstacles they might face. WHY? Salaries for STEM careers is 2.2 times that of non-STEM careers! Yet many students lack the skills needed to obtain these jobs. Each student receives a college scholarship and career opportunities, upon completion of the program. Help us to end the wealth gap today! Join us at New York Yankees Stadium on Fri Aug 02 2024 at 6:00 PM for a fun-filled evening of baseball and giving. Your ticket includes a suite ticket to the Yankees Vs. Blue Jays game at 7:05 PM, pre-game awards ceremony, buffet, liquor, wine and beer. The cost of your ticket goes to our college scholarship fund. Buy your ticket before July 1st and get 10% off. • Our scholars had the pleasure of visiting Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center with Dr. J. Ted Gerstle, Chief, Pediatric Surgery Service, and Dr. Mario M. Leitao, Jr., Director of Minimal Access and Robotic Surgery Program and his esteemed team. Our scholars learned the functionality of a surgical robot. Below our scholar Lordes Abigail uses the robot to pick up items placed on a surgical table. The students had an opportunity to meet several well-esteemed staff members and learn about their career journeys and how they maintain their mental health. Thank you Ana Garcia, Rochelle Smithingell, Shakima Grant,Stephanie Alvarado, Camilla Guerrero, Vittoria Arslan-Carlon, Dawn Cayanne, Ray Ng, Dianne McFarlane, Keisha Chambers,Grant, M.A., Christan Bartsch for putting this event together. Our scholars are encouraged by your careers and the amazing work you do for our society. STEM education is vital to creating generational wealth, yet 18% of New York City's fourth graders were proficient in math, compared with 24% in 2019. If we solve the STEM problem, we solve the poverty problem. Support our mission by making your donation today: https://lnkd.in/gkUJ7WBB Source: NCES - National Center for Educational Statistics
