Big shift in the IT world: Dell is laying off over 10% of its global workforce (about 12,000 people) — and at the same time, it’s mandating full return-to-office for employees near its sites starting March 3. That’s a lot of change for one announcement. And it raises real questions for the IT professionals and leaders we work with daily: Is the push for RTO tied to culture and collaboration — or is it a pretext for reducing headcount? And what does it mean when a company lets go of thousands while saying it’s doubling down on innovation and customer service? For those of us helping organizations scale tech teams or navigate workforce strategy, this kind of shakeup reinforces a few things: ⭐ IT talent is always watching. Decisions about layoffs and flexibility shape employer brand fast. ⭐ Hybrid is here to stay for many. But mandates like these show the debate isn’t over. ⭐ Stability matters. Skilled pros want to grow with companies that communicate clearly and invest long-term. Curious to hear — what’s your take? If you're in IT or leadership, how are you handling this balance? #TechTalent #ITLeadership #RTO #WorkforceStrategy #Layoffs #StratITech

  • Hiring Fast vs. Hiring Right—Why Not Both? Hiring delays cost time, money, and momentum. But rushing the process? That can be even more expensive. The key isn’t choosing between speed and quality—it’s finding a smarter way to hire. What’s been your biggest hiring challenge lately? Let’s talk. ⬇️

  • So, let me tell you a story... You ever had life hit you with a “Well, didn’t see that coming” moment? Yeah—IT professionals know that feeling all too well recently. Take Alex (not his real name, but his real story). He was the kind of engineer everyone relied on—solving problems, keeping systems running, working those late nights. But when he got laid off, he found himself wondering, now what? At first, he panicked. Was he out of touch? Had tech passed him by? Should he have spent more time networking instead of troubleshooting servers at 2 AM? But instead of spiraling, Alex made a choice. ✔ He reconnected with old colleagues—not asking for jobs, just catching up. ✔ He leaned into learning, grabbing a cloud cert and brushing up on AI-driven security. ✔ He stayed open to new roles, realizing his infra skills translated into solutions architecture. Fast forward—Alex isn’t just back on his feet; he’s thriving in a role where he gets to shape strategy and mentor junior engineers. What changed? Not the job market—his mindset. Tech moves fast. Layoffs happen. But one thing stays the same: the people who adapt, stay curious, and keep growing always find their way. So if you’re feeling stuck, remember—your next big move could be just one conversation or one new skill away. Ever had a career pivot that changed everything? Drop your story below—I’d love to hear it.
