🌟 The Power of Networking: Key Insights from Our Recent Event 🌟 A few weeks ago, we had the privilege of hosting an incredible event where we asked seasoned professionals for their best advice for those just starting their career journey. One message stood out loud and clear: "Network, network, network!" Transitioning from the world of academia to the workforce can be daunting and isolating. It’s easy to feel lost or overwhelmed in the process. That’s why building meaningful connections is crucial. Having a support system of professional contacts not only helps you navigate tough moments but also provides a safety net of confidence when self-doubt creeps in. 💡 Long-lasting, dynamic relationships within your network can open doors, foster collaboration, and create value for both sides. The connections you build today could be the key to unlocking future opportunities, insights, and growth. 👉 Who helped you launch your career? Drop a name or two in the comments and give them a shout-out! Let’s celebrate the power of networking together. 🎥 Check out this insightful interview featuring Samir Mirza, who shared their journey and top tips for career success! A huge thank you to our amazing MC, Rajiv 'RajNATION' Nathan, for leading such an engaging conversation. #CareerAdvice #Networking #EmergingProfessionals #CareerGrowth #Community

Have you ever watched a whiteboard idea come to life in real time? I experienced that last Thursday during our Stryke Sunset Cruise, where we highlighted the next generation of the workforce and unveiled how innovative digital products can empower their success. A big thank you to the Society of Women Engineers, Archer Career, and Poker Power. And to the Stryke team: your dedication to our mission has brought us to this point, and we couldn’t have done it without you. Why? I didn’t come from a well-connected background. My journey made me realize the need for a digital ecosystem dedicated to empowering emerging professionals—much like how Bumble Inc. empowers women in their dating experiences. Like many others, I had to reach beyond my immediate network to find opportunities. Most Americans are first-generation professionals and graduates. Solution: Imagine a place where you can define the impact you want to make and connect with the right people to help you reach your goals. That's what Stryke offers the next generation. We blend digital professional networking with modern, personalized user experiences to create meaningful connections. Employers connect with our talent network using our recruiting services, while we're building a B2B platform that lets organizations manage candidate relationships and recruitment independently with annual subscriptions. Thank you to our advisors, supporters, Stryke users and the forward-thinking employers investing in the next generation. The road ahead is busy and exciting—pitching at Started EdTech Week’s Shark Tank, joining the world-leading Antler accelerator, hosting workshops on personal branding and networking at colleges, and building a future filled with hope and opportunity. We couldn’t do it without your support! App: https://lnkd.in/gUXWbGKU Check out the event recap video 👇

STEM fields are leading the way in job prospects and salaries, according to Payscale’s 2023 report. Majors like Petroleum Engineering, Operations Research, Interaction Design, Applied Economics, and Building Science offer specialized skills that are highly sought after in today’s job market. Graduates from these programs bring technical expertise that’s hard to learn on the job, making them exceptionally valuable to employers. Whether you’re a student deciding on a major or a professional exploring new opportunities, STEM offers pathways to rewarding and lucrative careers. A recent report by Georgetown University's Center on Education and the Workforce predicts that by 2031, 66% of "good jobs" will require a bachelor's degree, while only 15% will be accessible with just a high school diploma. This highlights the growing importance of higher education for securing economic security in the future. The study also notes the value of middle-skills pathways, emphasizing that both bachelor's degrees and technical skills play crucial roles in the job market. #graduation #college #goodjobs #georgetown #highered

Many recent graduates struggle with the transition from school to work, with 52% of them being underemployed. There are many new tools out there, like AI resume writers, bot-interview coaches, and auto-apply tools, that claim to help. However, it's important not to forget the human side of job hunting. Most jobs are found through connections, and building relationships is key to moving forward in a career. When trying to bridge the gap from school to work, nurturing the development of professional networks for young professionals is crucial. At Stryke, we make it easy to build these connections so that new workers can enter the job market with the support they need to succeed. #connections #jobseekers #earlycareertalent #recentgraduate
