We’re excited to highlight one of the key members of the Studio A.D. - Architect team, William Kyle Kitchens, a Project Architect with our team since 2015! ✨ With over 40 years of experience, Kyle brings an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise in commercial, industrial, restaurant, hospitality, and more. His educational background is impressive, with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Florida. As a Florida registered architect and former owner of his own architectural firm (which helped launch Albert's career), William has made a significant impact at Studio A.D. and the projects we’ve completed. Beyond his work at Studio A.D., Kyle has also served on the City of Fort Myers Contractor Regulatory Board, the Lee County Code Enforcement Board, and as an Arbitrator for the Twentieth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida. Additionally, he’s shared his expertise as an adjunct professor at Edison State College, teaching courses on Construction Procedures, Drafting & Design, and more. #DesignSpotlight: Today, we are highlighting this award-winning project from 2019: the MY Shower Door and D3 GLASS LLC headquarters and fabrication facility in Fort Myers! ✨ This 60,000-square-foot high-tech facility is not just a home for their executive, sales, and marketing teams but also houses a state-of-the-art fabrication area. Equipped with advanced glass tempering and glazing equipment—plus overhead cranes for moving raw and finished glass—this facility is designed for efficiency and precision. The building itself is constructed with a pre-engineered metal frame, concrete block walls, and pre-cast concrete hollow core planks. It required an impressive 480-volt, three-phase power and 5000 amps across three separate electrical services to run all that high-tech machinery. We’re especially proud that this project earned the Summit Award for Best Architectural Project from the Lee Building Industry Association in 2019. 🎉 This week, we had the pleasure of celebrating the groundbreaking ceremony for The Beach Bar at 1668 I Street on Fort Myers Beach — a project we’re honored to be part of as our community continues to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Ian just two years ago. This rebuild is a symbol of resilience and strength of our Southwest Florida community, and we couldn’t be more proud to be part of it. Over 100 community members attended the groundbreaking, including the Fort Myers Beach Town Council, our construction team, media, chamber, and loyal patrons. Scheduled for completion in 2025, this newly designed 5,813-square-foot, three-story structure will be built to withstand coastal elements and future storms. Using durable materials like simulated stucco siding, composite soffits, and a standing seam metal roof, this design prioritizes longevity and resilience. Designed by Studio A.D. - Architect, the exterior will feature bright yellow Bahama shutters to complement the bar’s iconic beer mug logo. The first floor will remain true to its roots as an open-air, walk-up bar with beachfront seating, live music, and retail space, but reimagined for adaptability with storm-resistant features like temporary cooler storage and restroom trailers that can be easily relocated during storm warnings. Marine-grade cabinetry and turtle-friendly glass and lighting have also been added to ensure both durability and environmental safety. The second and third floors will feature residential units available for rent, adding even more value to this iconic beach destination. Together, with Stevens Construction, Inc. leading the build, EDGE Interiors on the interior design, and expert civil engineer/planner Jim Ink, we’re excited to bring this vision to life! 🙌 #TwoDecadesOfDesign #SWFLstrong

Today, we’re taking a trip down memory lane and highlighting one of our favorite projects from 2018! 🚗💦 This Luv-A-Wash, a drive-thru, automatic car wash at 1635 Pine Ridge Rd. in Naples, Florida, was the first of three locations we designed in Southwest Florida. Built for durability and flow, Luv-A-Wash features a pre-engineered metal building, concrete block walls, and pre-cast concrete hollow core planks — perfect for keeping things squeaky clean for years to come.
