𝘖𝘧𝘧-𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘱𝘶𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘬𝘦𝘵 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢, one of the biggest factors in pricing is the supply and demand of rooms. We want to give you the data so you and other college students can make more informed housing decisions. You will no longer be in the dark on the current off-campus housing market, you will be able to see how many people are searching vs listing a room for a given semester, and year at a specific college. As summer internship plans finalize, so too does the need for short-term housing solutions. Most college students who live off-campus don't plan on living near their college in the summer and need to sublet out their rooms – often at a discount to avoid paying rent on an empty room. On the flip side many students with internships flock to cities – NYC, Boston, San Francisco, etc, and typically need housing just for the summer but are met with crazy short term rental prices. There’s one simple trick to improving SEO performance and placing higher in search rankings. And that’s going to Google Search Console and making sure that your website is properly indexed and fast to load (Google Page Speed Insights). Analyze how certain changes to your website affect search position and go from there. Google has recently weighted website speed/performance higher in search ranking calculations so alongside focusing on new features/bug fixes make sure you are still building a fast and pleasant to use website for your end users.

1 WEEK TIL LAUNCH!! Sublettr is launching next Friday, January 19th, 2024! It will be available to everyone (not just college students)! It's a big change but it'll be accompanied with an overhaul on privacy settings/visibility controls so all our users can feel safe and keep things they want private, private. The decision to make Sublettr accessible to everyone (and not just college students) will help ensure there's a suitable number of users both on the listing and searching side, as well as help spread the positive impact of Sublettr's services. Dealing with housing as a college student is annoying. Having to worry about subletting your room out while your away is even more annoying.
