Welcome to the land down under 🇦🇺 USS Minnesota (SSN 783) docked at HMAS Stirling, a naval base in Western Australia, marking the first visit by a US Navy submarine in 2025. “Every time a nuclear-powered submarine ties up in HMAS Stirling, we take a meaningful step closer to establishing Submarine Rotational Force – West and a sovereign conventionally armed, nuclear-powered attack submarine capability for Australia,” said Royal Australian Navy Rear Adm. Tom Phillips, the Australian Submarine Agency’s Head of Submarine Capability. #AUKUS | #unmatchedpropulsion | #alliesandpartners | #stewardship Read more: https://lnkd.in/eq-MdW-b

Have you ever wondered why US Navy veterans thrive in the data center industry? Picture them managing complex mechanical and electrical systems alone at sea, where every detail matters and failure is not an option. Their unmatched attention to detail, discipline, and exceptional problem-solving skills translate effortlessly to the data center, where precision and reliability are non-negotiable. Note: I show the Navy here, but all #veterans do well in the DC industry. ________ If this post resonated with you, I’d be grateful if you liked it and followed me (Tony Grayson) for more insights and veteran videos. 👉 If you’re feeling generous, a repost would mean the world! 😀 Infrastructure Masons Compass Datacenters Northstar Technologies Group, Inc. The Government has reached another major AUKUS milestone, with construction commencing on a new Training Centre at HMAS Stirling. This world-class facility will support the skilling of Australia’s submariner workforce, through local submarine crew training and certification for work on Virginia class submarines, which Australia will acquire and operate from the early 2030s. Construction of the training centre will support local jobs and the Western Australian economy, requiring a daily workforce of around 120 construction personnel, which will grow to around 180 personnel per day at peak times. The acquisition of conventionally-armed, nuclear-powered submarines through the AUKUS partnership will require growing and training Australia’s future AUKUS workforce.  📰 To read more visit https://lnkd.in/e3rna-W5

  • Happy Brithday to Adm. Chester W. Nimitz, who was born on this day in 1885 in Fredricksburg, Texas. Nimitz would go on to become the fleet admiral and commander in chief of naval forces in the Pacific during World War II. Nimitz is quoted in Historic Ship Exhibits in the US by USN History Division 1969 for the famous remarks: ⁣ ⁣ “We, who survived World War II and were privileged to rejoin our loved ones at home, salute those gallant officers and men of our submarines who lost their lives in that long struggle. We shall never forget that it was our submarines that held the lines against the enemy while our fleets replaced losses and repaired wounds.”
