We’re excited to share that our Founder, Dedren Snead , recently represented Subsume in two incredible engagements, putting his Equity In Technology endeavors and Ford Foundation Fellowship in Gaming and AI to great use! Dedren first took the stage as a partner and keynote speaker at the Africa Creative Market Global, where he emphasized unlocking Africa's boundless potential in Gaming, Esports, and Creative Technologies. The event was a success, packed with intentional discussions about showcasing local talent and creating real opportunities for networking, training, and employment across the continent. His second engagement was at the American Corner, hosted by the U.S. Department of State and the US Embassy and Consulate in Lagos, where he led a session on leveraging AI in Workforce Development for Young Nigerians through gaming and game design. With over 300+ attendees from across Nigeria, the session was packed with game developers and the gaming-curious, providing hands-on curriculum and mentorship that took participants from idea to functional game prototype to entrepreneurial business development—all in one afternoon! The impact was immediate, with many participants having their “light bulb” moments of inspiration. This is what Subsume is all about: enabling equitable innovation and empowering the next generation of creators through education and technology. As we look forward to more exciting events like DreamHack ATL and other collaborations, we couldn’t be prouder of the community we’re building and the progress we’re making. A week ago, today Subsume hosted our first Dungeons & Dragons table top intro meeting! This event was one of a multitude of activations that Subsume has going on leading up to DragonCon.
