S4KF is excited to support our school community. Intake specialist, Diana Rodriguez, attended Bryan Elementary's Community Night to provide resources and information about mental health support. It's important for students, parents, and school staff to know that help is available. Mental health matters, especially for our youth. Let's create a healthier and more supportive environment for everyone. #mentalhealthmatters #communitysupport #backtoschool2024

🚗 Paving the Way! 🚙 Our Healthy Minds and Healthy Transitions programs had a fantastic meeting with Alex Montaner of Florida's Statewide Workforce Development Program, to discuss career opportunities for youth/young adults in the road construction industry. Many young adults with mental illness struggle to find work environments that are supportive and offer a sense of accomplishment. The road industry offers unique opportunities to support them: 🚧 Structured Environment: Road construction provides a clear structure with defined tasks and goals, which can be beneficial for those seeking stability. 🚦 Physical Activity: Working outdoors and performing physical tasks can be a great way to manage stress and improve overall well-being. 👷♂️ Teamwork & Camaraderie: Road crews work closely together, fostering a sense of belonging and community. 🛣 Career Growth: The road industry offers various specializations and opportunities for advancement. By providing the right support and resources, young adults learning to manage mental health conditions can build successful careers while contributing to our vital infrastructure here in Florida. #mentalhealthmatters #careergrowth #youthmentalhealth
