👏 We’re thrilled to share this update from Kelly, founder of ButtnSki and one of the amazing entrepreneurs who has participated in our programs! Kelly has already raised over half of her Kiva loan, and it’s incredible to see the local community showing up to support her company.
Founder of Woman-Owned Outdoor Apparel Brand | Championing Economic Impact for Rural Communities and Women in the Outdoor Industry
Hi friends! We are over halfway there with our Kiva loan and we still need your help to get it across the finish line! We just need to fund the remaining $6,265 which is a drop in the bucket! As a reminder, this is a 0% interest crowdfunding loan which means that we pay back the entire loan and you get your money back (we successfully paid back our first loan last month so you know we're good for it!). Our Blue River Down Joggers are on the way in just a few short weeks and this loan will ensure that we have the money to pay for them to be released to us. If you like to live on the edge like I do, you know how crucial it is for us to get this loan. So many of you have already supported us and have even been with us since day 1. About 50% of our lenders supported our first Kiva loan a few years ago and have been generous enough to support this second round without hesitation. Thank you to our partners in the industry and in our community for helping to spread the word on this. Every bit counts and sharing this with just 1 other person in your life means the world to us. When you're supporting Buttnski you're supporting a Colorado, woman-owned and operated business that puts all woman first. With 63% of jobs in Summit County coming from tourism and outdoor recreation, our local economy is highly dependent on these industries. While tourism plays a crucial role, this reliance also makes us vulnerable to economic fluctuations and seasonal changes. 🌍 That’s why Summit Economic Partnership is focused on diversifying the economy, supporting new businesses and industries to create more varied job opportunities. Our goal is to build a stronger, more resilient future for Summit County. #SummitCounty #EconomicDiversification #BusinessDevelopment
