So, this summer, let's prioritize skin health and spread awareness about the importance of sun safety. Remember: SPF is your best friend! 🌞 Don't forget to schedule regular skin checks and encourage your loved ones to do the same.

With National Doctors' Day being on March 30th, at Summit Pathology, we're proud to spotlight our team of twenty-two board certified pathologists. Each of our pathologist brings a unique expertise, specializing in a variety of fields such as Dermatopathology, Breast Pathology, Gynecological Pathology, Gastrointestinal Pathology, and more.   Here's a heartwarming story that reflects the dedication of our team: We had a PA candidate encounter a couple at the airport. While discussing why they were both in town, the couple talked about how their son had previously had cancer and how they actually got to meet the pathologist which is very rare. The couple went on about the pathologist raving about how amazing he was and it turns out it was our very own, Dr. Christopher Bee, MD.   From forging strong relationships with clinicians to providing personalized care to patients and their families, our pathologists go above and beyond. At Summit Pathology, we're honored to have such a compassionate and dedicated team making a difference in the world of healthcare every day. March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, serving to highlight the importance of early detection and prevention of colorectal cancer. According to the American Cancer Society, individuals should begin routine screening for colorectal cancer at the age of 45 instead of 50. This cancer is preventable and treatable, yet impacting younger individuals more than ever.  #colonoscopy #coloncancerawareness #summitpathology

January is Cervical Health Awareness Month. Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer among women globally, according to the American Society of Cancer. The Pap test (or Pap smear) and the human papillomavirus (HPV) test are specific tests used during screening for cervical cancer and have shown that people who have regular cervical screenings are less likely to develop cervical cancer. Summit Pathology is committed to spreading awareness, educating, and working together to prevent cervical cancer. https://lnkd.in/g7PFE39m
