Chicago is a vibrant and diverse city, home of the one of the largest Hispanic populations in the United States, representing about 30% of Chicago’s population. To empower the Latino community Sunshine Enterprises is launching the second cohort in Spanish of the Community Business Academy. This exciting program equips entrepreneurs with the essential tools to start business or growth their business. During National Black Business Month, we honor the incredible contributions of Sunshine’s Black entrepreneurs who drive vitality and economic growth in their communities. Since 2013, over 1,300 Black entrepreneurs have embarked on their entrepreneurial journeys, and we’re thrilled to see 53% in business today. Our commitment to fostering growth and success includes providing programming around training, coaching, and connecting. With that, we’re excited to see the expansion of nearly 200 businesses in 2023, demonstrating the powerful impact of collaboration and strategic planning. Let’s continue to uplift and support Black entrepreneurs as they shape the future of business in Chicago. Here’s to their continued success and to a future filled with innovation and opportunity!
