On Wednesday, October 16th Austin BUILT hosted the 1st Annual Ladies Par 3 Challenge benefitting Austin Sunshine Camps at the iconic and historic Butler Pitch & Putt!   Originally this event began in Georgia, but the idea is simple, fun & lighthearted – the ladies golf and the men caddie. At the first one, the Austin chapter put up 14 ladies to participate in the tournament and 14 caddies, each sporting a Master’s replica bib BIG thanks to our friends at Kelston Promotional!   14 Teams got cut down to just 4 who played in the 3-Hole Playoff. In the end it was a rival between the two architects - Team Kirksey +Karlin vs Team Corgan. Huge congratulations to Cassie Pettinati, RID with Kirksey Architecture for being named the 2024 Austin BUILT Ladies Par 3 Challenge Champion! 🏆 Cassie’s caddie, Ryan Baker with Karlin Real Estate, helped bring her to victory. In second place was Bonnie Uresti, RID, NCIDQ and Joseph N. LaRocca, AIA, LEED AP with Corgan. 🥈 Big thank you to our event sponsors: Hoar Construction, Norris Design, Schluter Systems, & BUILT National 100% of sponsor proceeds went straight to our annual charitable contribution to Austin Sunshine Camps! Meet Cora Vanden Heuvel, our new Volunteer Coordinator! Cora is a newbie to Austin, having just graduated with a degree in social work and making the move down from Michigan this summer. Thanks to her time as a camper and counselor at an overnight camp up north, Cora loves camp and is passionate about sharing the experience with others. Lately, Cora has been checking out the food scene, taking walks by Lady Bird, and eagerly anticipating cooler weather. She looks forward to meeting you soon!
