Thank you to the team of Superior employees who volunteered with our community partner, Communities In Schools of Central Texas, to help their Student and Family Assistance department. The team helped fulfill monthly hygiene kit orders and prepared 75 laundry detergent kits and lice kits as well as socks and underwear to be distributed across CIS' 11 regional teams who serve families in need in Central Texas. In 2017, Superior HealthPlan launched the Foster Care Center of Excellence program to better support children and youth in foster care. These centers bring together providers with foster care expertise to streamline services for STAR Health members. They also improve collaboration among primary care providers, foster parents, and behavioral health professionals. It’s just one way we’re working hard to improve the care that children in foster care get every day.
