Proud moment for SV[e]F! 🎉 We’re honored to receive the 2024 Community Impact Award from the Silicon Valley Business Journal! Our CEO Dr. Lisa Andrew highlighted the drive behind our mission: 'If you look at more resourced communities, their students are getting access to robotics and AI by first and second grade. We’ve got to get out and mirror that.' This year, we’re reaching 11,000 students—up from 7,300 last year—through advanced STEM programs that bring equitable learning opportunities to underserved communities. 🙌🏽 Read the full story on SVBJ’s website and see how we’re working to bridge the gap for future innovators! 🚀 https://lnkd.in/gafxRSyB #CommunityImpact #EducationEquity #STEMForAll

Inspiring girls of color to explore STEM, computer science, and space is how we create a brighter future. 🌟 Dr. Mae Jemison’s keynote at the DreamMakers gala was a powerful reminder of what’s possible when girls are encouraged to pursue their passions. 🚀👩🏽🚀 #GirlsInSTEM #WomenInTech #STEMEducation #RepresentationMatters
👩🏽🚀 We got a few more Black & Brown girls interested in STEM, CS, and Space today … the Silicon Valley Education Foundation (SVEF) had the annual Dream Maker’s gala + fundraiser this weekend and in addition to the good Dr. Mae Jemison (from the southside of Chicago) blessing us with an amazing keynote … we also had a lot of fun celebrating outstanding students, teachers, and community members who make such a difference in the field of K-12 education. 🚀 A huge shoutout to all of my friends and colleagues from Samsung Semiconductor , Amazon Web Services (AWS) , Google , San Francisco 49ers , Cisco , HP , Stanford University , and other places who worked (and donated) to make this event a success … we served over 9,000 kids this year in California and next year we will surely be in the 5 digit range as we continue to grow our momentum and impact. ❤️ That’s all I got … have a great rest of the weekend friends!!! #stem #computerscience #womenintech #space #education #community
