Orlando friends: WE'RE HIRING! We're looking for our next Executive Producer, IDEALLY based in Orlando (but someone within a 2-3 hour drive of Orlando could be an option as well). If you have "Creator blood" (gross, but you get it)...this role could be PERFECT for you. It's obvious that media has completely shifted in the last few years. Not to get political...but video podcasts literally just put someone in the White House. YouTube, podcasts, and social drive culture today...it's just how people consume content. And companies are desperately trying to figure out this new media landscape with their own content. We truly believe we've cracked the 'new media' code for companies. Co-hosted, personality-driven shows that are filmed in a studio environment (our Creator House). Thoughtfully segmented in a way that reverse engineers clips that perform well on social. With targeted distribution to niche audiences using paid media. But doing all this is a HERCULEAN effort for marketing teams. They need to partner with an agency like ours to pull it off (and to pull it off with excellence). The primary role of our Executive Producers is to make sure our clients get meaningful business results from the content we're creating with them. So the EP owns the strategy for each of the clients in their portfolio...but they can't possibly do everything that needs to be done to make the show successful. Which is why the biggest part of their role is deep collaboration across 5 different Sweet Fish teams (led by incredible subject matter experts) -- Show Development, Pre-Production, Capture, Post-Production, and Distribution. So if you're a strategic thinker who LOVES the game of content (or you know someone that fits that bill)...we would LOVE an intro. I've never been more excited about where we're at as a company. Our culture. Our market. The results we're delivering for our clients. How what we do intersects with AI. ALL OF IT. So if you're interested in doing hard, but meaningful work...with a team of brilliant people. Hit me up :) - James Carbary

SO POWERFUL.
Life’s not a straight line, right? That fear of abandonment? Yeah, it followed me and grew. As I took on more responsibility—business, family, leadership—I realized I was questioning everything. Am I really capable? Can I be a good father? A supportive husband? A strong leader? I trusted no one but myself… and the hole just kept getting bigger. By 40, I landed my dream job. Honestly, it felt like I had made it. But 15 months later, I was fired. "You lack emotional intelligence. You lack self-awareness." That same nine-year-old boy, who was afraid and doubted himself, came rushing back. And suddenly, everything I thought I knew about myself… shattered. If you’ve ever felt that blow, you know what it’s like to rebuild from ground zero. You have to learn to trust again, not just others, but yourself. What’s been your experience with reclaiming your confidence after a setback? I’d love to hear your thoughts. 👇 #Leadership #Trust #BusinessGrowth #CEO #Entrepreneurship #HumanTransformation #PersonalGrowth #Creativity #Future #Vistage #HumanResources #Believe

What do My First Million, New Heights, and This Old Marketing have in common? 1. Their format (co-hosted commentary) 2. Their listeners are OBSESSED with the show Co-hosted commentary is the future of B2B content for a few reasons: - it gets you off the hamster wheel of needing to find a guest every week (you can still have guests…you just don't NEED one) - you no longer have to figure out how to communicate your point of view 1,874 different ways (because you're commenting on what's already trending in your space and weaving in your 3-4 POVs where they make sense) - no more guessing what your audience will think is interesting! You can comment on posts, articles, videos, etc that have already gone viral or seen traction…and that social validation of the topic you're covering guarantees that what you're talking about will be interesting - co-host chemistry is REAL — when you get it right (like the 3 shows above), there is legitimate entertainment value just by hearing the hosts interact with one another — regardless of how impactful their insight is. It's crazy. Legitimate entertainment in B2B land?! Who knew?!

The most expensive mistake you can make: ❌ "Just get a social media intern" Businesses think they're saving money. But this is the biggest miss they can make. Social media is not something you "hand off" Building a winning media brand today takes deep expertise. Think of it like legal advice -> you wouldn't have an intern handle your IP portfolio or litigation strategy just to "save on costs" Treat social media with that same strategic gravity. Invest accordingly ✌️

The next evolution of marketing is media. Marketing VPs will become more like Exec Producers. Modern marketing teams need someone that can: - Architect a media brand that becomes your market’s favorite source of information on the internet - Develop compelling concepts and formats for the content franchises within that media brand (newsletters, podcasts, YouTube channels, etc) - Weave in the company’s points of view into the stories being told inside the various content franchises - Connect the media being created to the business objectives that need to be achieved The Executive Producer is ultimately responsible for: -> Creating an irrational bias toward your brand. What does that mean exactly? THIS: A bias so strong that your competition doesn’t matter...because the media you produce creates an affinity that can’t be beaten. Here's why this matters A LOT in B2B land y'all: Because 97% of B2B buyers are not ready to buy. YET. Only 3% are in buying mode at any given time. You need to make the 97% fans of your brand. That's what a great Exec Producer does.
