It's always good to get a new clinical trial underway. Today we kicked off the MAGNITUDE-BTK Study at Prince of Wales hospital. A prospective, multicentre evaluation of the MAGNITUDE Bioresorbable Drug Eluting Scaffold for occlusive disease below-the-knee in patients with CLI. This ultra high molecular weight PLLA scaffold has crush resistance properties and can be made in long lengths to treat long BTK lesions. Our case today saw the placement of 2 overlapping 58mm scaffolds for 11cm of coverage. I'm thrilled at the direction we're going with scaffolds and am hopeful we will see a future where we're using them as first line therapy for all tibial disease. R3 Vascular Inc. We thank Prof. Thomas Zeller, M.D. for his presentation at The VIVA Foundation's VIVA23 on the one-year results of the DEEPER OUS clinical trial (NCT04162418) evaluating the company’s Bare Temporary Spur Stent System in conjunction with a DCB (investigational use only). He reported that at 12 months, primary patency was 79.2% and 88.8% of patients were free of CD-TLR.
