About us
At T.Lake, we love getting our hands dirty. We understand that transforming spaces, be it a small garden or expansive urban landscape, never really happens hunched over a drawing board. While that’s still an important part of the process, it’s the building and planting, the digging and transforming that, in the end, indicates what a project can – and will – become. For us, environmental design means addressing a space’s history, surroundings and the ways people will engage and interact with it. That doesn’t happen in an office. It can’t be plotted and drawn. Being true to a space means becoming part of it – and you can’t do that without moving a little dirt. Our Company T. Lake Environmental Design is a full service landscape architecture, land planning and landscape-contracting firm with completed projects from Central Florida to Middle Tennessee. Experience Founded in Florida in 1990 and chartered in Georgia in 1992, T. Lake is experienced in all aspects of landscape design, construction and maintenance. Awards & Accolades Our clients and peers have recognized projects we have completed throughout the Southeast: 2006 Grand Award – Streetscape Revitalization Georgia Urban Forest Council 2006 Silver Award Design Installation – Residential Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 2006 Merit Award Design Installation – Commercial Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 2001 Silver Award Landscape Installation – Commercial Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA) 1999 Grand Award Landscape Installation – Institutional Georgia Green Industry Association (GGIA

At our core, we believe in cultivating not just beautiful lawns but also happy, healthy soil. That’s why we’re thrilled to integrate Holganix, a bio-based soil amendment, into our lawn care programs. Think of it as a superfood smoothie for your lawn—it’s packed with biostimulants that get those beneficial microbes partying in the soil, leading to stronger, deeper roots. The result is grass that’s better at soaking up nutrients and water, making it greener and more resilient. Plus, with improved moisture retention, your lawn might just need a little less water, leaving more time for you to enjoy those sunny days. By going green with Holganix, we’re not just nurturing thicker, tougher lawns—we’re also reducing the need for fertilizers, keeping our commitment to sustainable landscaping practices growing strong. So, let’s give your lawn the VIP treatment it deserves!

When our client at Lake Sinclair sought a long-term fix for their shoreline erosion woes, we knew it was time to rock and roll. To protect their property and preserve the beauty of the lakefront, T. Lake built a seawall that’s as sturdy as it is stylish. 🌊 The Details: We didn’t cut any corners on this one. The 200-foot-long, 6-foot-high wall was designed using a modular concrete block system, renowned for its durability and ability to withstand the forces of the lake. We also incorporated geogrid layers to ensure proper water drainage and prevent erosion from sneaking up behind the structure. With a solid foundation of gravel and riprap rock for backfilling and reinforcement, this seawall is built to last. 🌊 The Outcome: A seawall that not only blocks erosion but also enhances the natural beauty of the landscape. This project is a testament to our commitment to delivering solutions that are as functional as they are visually appealing. At T. Lake, we believe in building more than just walls—we build peace of mind, one project at a time. Here’s to shoring up more successful projects that keep our clients smiling!

Long before we had weather apps and air conditioning, folks believed that those sweltering summer days were courtesy of a brilliant star named Sirius, famously known as the "Dog Star." This dazzling celestial body, the brightest in the constellation Canis Major (Latin for "Greater Dog"), made its appearance in the sky during the hottest stretch of the year, seemingly tagging along with the sun. And so, the phrase "dog days" of summer was born—a nod to the belief that this star was adding a little extra sizzle to the season. At T. Lake, we know the "dog days" all too well. The sun's rays can turn a lawn from lush green to crispy brown faster than you can say "hot diggity dog." Flowers start drooping like they’ve had one too many sunbaths, and the whole landscape can look a little worse for wear. But fear not! We're the guardians of green, swooping in with expert watering, mowing, and planting to keep your outdoor spaces thriving—even when the heat is on. Yes, it's a sweaty job, but the reward is oh-so-sweet. Transforming a parched patch of earth into a cool, green oasis is what we live for. Because even when the dog days have everyone feeling a bit ruff, there’s nothing like a beautiful yard to lift your spirits and give you a shady spot to enjoy the summer. So, let’s keep your lawn looking fetching, even when the thermometer is barking mad! 🌞 Stay "in the loop" by joining our monthly newsletter. Send us a message!
