🎃 Halloween Safety Tips from our TACHC team 👻 Even though we had our Annual Conference a little earlier than Halloween this year, we are still in the spirit! As we celebrate Halloween, let’s ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience! Here are some important public health tips: 1. Costume Safety:   - Choose bright, reflective costumes or add reflective tape, glow sticks, and flashlights to dark costumes to ensure visibility.   - Avoid masks that obstruct vision; consider face paint as a safer alternative. 2. Trick-or-Treating Tips:   - Always accompany young children while trick-or-treating.   - Stick to well-lit neighborhoods and cross streets at corners.   - Carry a flashlight to enhance visibility. 3. Food Safety:   - Check treats for any tampering or allergens before eating. - Consider tossing homemade or opened treats.   - If your child has food allergies, consider bringing safe treats from home. 4. Health Precautions:   - If you’re feeling unwell, consider staying home and celebrating virtually.   - Respect local guidelines regarding gatherings and health safety measures. 5. Pet Safety:   - Keep pets indoors and away from the doorbell and loud noises to reduce stress.   - Ensure they have a safe space during the festivities.
