🦸♀️ Not all heroes wear capes—some are in Tech Support If you’re ever stuck, don’t hesitate to reach out— they’ve seen it all! A quick chat with tech support can save you time, protect your samples, and help keep your budget on track.
Tech support is that magical place where PhDs in troubleshooting make you feel like a genius—by reminding you to add controls to your experiments 😅 During my benchwork years I honestly never thought about contacting Tech Support. I would just try a million things during weeks until the problem was solved. That was such a waste of time, samples and money. In research, contacting tech support can save time, avoid mistakes and help troubleshoot experiments with complex reagents and protocols. We’re in contact with scientists all day and we are familiar with the products so we can really help you save time. You may contact us for a number of things: advices on which product to choose, on the protocol to follow, for protocol optimization, weird experiment results, cell that die, cells that are supposed to but won’t die! At Tech Support we’ve been through the wringer of failed PCRs, of empty vectors, wonky Western blots and broken centrifuges in our own lab days. Every time you describe your problem, we have flashbacks: “Ah yes, the horror of a ‘randomly thawing freezer.’ I’ve been there... stay strong.” “Are you sure you added the plasmid to the reaction?” As former scientists, we brought a blend of expertise, (sometimes) humor and lab trauma recovery to our new roles, often making our solutions more entertaining than the actual problem! So if you have questions or feel stuck, just contact us and we will do our best to find a solution with you! 😊

Last Friday, Magnus Søndergaard and I attended the 9th Annual Meeting of the Danish RNA Society. It was a lively event, with over 100 scientists and a great program filled with inspiring talks, and engaging discussions. I had the pleasure of presenting the new Shasta Single Cell System from Takara Bio Europe which, for the first time ever, allows single cell total RNA library prep of up to 100.000 single cells per run, with full gene-body coverage. Furthermore, it also enables you to do whole genome amplification of up to 1.500 single cells per run allowing you to detect single-cell level CNVs and SNVs with just 250K reads required per single cell. We received significant interest from researchers across both academia and industry. I'm really looking forward to seeing what kinds of discoveries will be made with this new technology in the future. If you wish to learn more about the Shasta Single Cell System, feel free to reach out!

Great talk by Matthieu Pesant at NGO 2024! A lot of excitement for possibility perform long read sequencing with low input mRNA (down to the picogram 😲). ONT is revolutionising the NGS space and with Takara’s expertise in low input amplification via the SMART technology, new frontiers can be reached by reseachers by maximising the variety of sample they can use! Always great to see collaboration in the NGS space. #NGO2024 #NextGenOmics2024 #London #NGS #ONT #LongRead #RNA #DNA

🌱 Patience, Persistence, and Purpose 🌱 Live from #ESGCT2024 here in Rome! As I wait at our booth, I’m reflecting on how much patience plays a role in both work and life. In sales, we’re constantly working toward long-term goals, building trust, and waiting for the right moment to make an impact. Helping our customers overcome challenges with the right tools and solutions takes time—but that moment when they succeed makes it all worth it! Sometimes I can’t help but think, “I told you sooner to try our enzymes!” 😉 So here’s to the patience it takes to make a difference, and to those moments that make us proud of the work we do! #TakaraBio #CellTherapy #GoodScience #Patience #Sales #Biotech #Rome #ConferenceLife #CustomerSuccess
