It's now possible to obtain high-quality sequences from hundreds to thousands of single cells and analyze for simultaneous detection of critical #alternativesplicing events and differential #geneexpression signatures: https://ow.ly/3KVZ50TI6JZ In this case study, using samples kindly provided by the Stephen Tapscott lab at the Fred Hutch Cancer Center, we describe a novel method for high-throughput single-cell alternative splicing analysis. The experiments revealed that skipped exon (SE; red) events were the most common, followed by alternative first exon (AFE; purple) events. #scRNAseq #transcriptomics

Are you excited about the latest single-cell technologies outlined at Sake and Science 2024 at BioMed Realty in Cambridge, MA? Download presentations: https://ow.ly/SMyL50TBvqm Thank you to our brilliant speakers: Dr. Cheehoon Ahn from The Translational Research Institute for Metabolism and Diabetes; Raven Shah, PhD, from the Novartis Institute For Biomedical Research; and Dr. Andrew Farmer and Dr. Lisa Welter from Takara Bio. We hope you enjoyed learning how technologies like the innovative Shasta™ Single Cell System—a high-throughput technology that enables exploration of the entire #genome and #transcriptome—empower you to discover novel #biomarkers, explore adipose cellular heterogeneity, and map #RNA interactions with splicing modulating compounds. We cannot wait to see what insights you uncover next with single-cell #sequencing!
