Our Talbott Talent President, Leah York, CAE, has a beautiful daily reminder that we all need! She saved a fortune cookie message that says, "To love is to forgive," and it’s taped to her monitor stand. This powerful message inspires her every day to embrace love and forgiveness in both work and life. Let’s carry this reminder with us and stay focused on what matters most!

We love that leaders we place STAY and make a significant impact on the organization! In December 2017, we had the privilege of placing Don Gilpin as Interim COO for the IFMA. With over 28 years of expertise across association management, education programs, and workforce development, Don was able to guide IFMA through a pivotal transition. His impact was undeniable—leading to his promotion as COO in 2018 and eventually to President and CEO. Under Don’s leadership, IFMA has strengthened its core business, expanded globally, and deepened its industry relationships. We’re proud to have played a small part in his incredible journey at IFMA!

Lately, we have been reflecting a lot on our "why?" Why do we help nonprofits find great people? Our work in the nonprofit space is not just about placing people in roles—it’s about finding the right people who will create a ripple effect of positive impact for the communities they serve. For example, when we partner with nonprofits to fill key leadership positions, we’re looking for individuals who don’t just fit the role, but who are driven by the success of others. Leaders who measure their achievements by the difference they make in the lives around them—because that’s what truly moves missions forward. At the end of the day, it’s not just about finding a great leader—it’s about building a stronger organization that lifts up its staff, its mission, and its community. That’s the real accolade we aim for every time! We are so grateful to be able to do this work!

But who does your organization really NEED as your next leader? That's the question this organization forgot to ask itself during an executive transition: Acme Social Service Agency faced a tough lesson when their new CEO, mentored by the outgoing leader, struggled to adapt to a changing landscape. Despite maintaining strong fundraising, the organization couldn't keep up with the shift to digital programs, leading to a drop in youth engagement and funding.  Learn more: https://lnkd.in/ePvkrkXf
