Hi! We are Heather and Steve, and we are just two of the faces behind the business. We run this page, so if you see our comments or messages, hey that's us! We met in 2008 - Steve was working a commercial construction project manager, and his company was working on a drawbridge retrofit on the California Delta. Heather was the project manager for the electrical contractor, and she agreed to go on a couple dates. We married in 2012, and had our first born in 2015. We both worked up our respective career ladders which demanded more time, more commitment, and more travel. In 2017, with Heather 5 months pregnant with our 2nd, Steve left his company to pursue Tankersley Construction full time. Our vision was to build a residential construction company that executed the same level of project management and craftmanship we were used to in our commercial construction projects. Word spreads, and year after year we have seen tremendous growth - while keeping the same level of attention and communication Steve started with in 2017. Heather joined full time in 2019, and has brought our company to another level in terms of organization and execution. Steve primarily handles the sales, marketing, business development side of the business and Heather oversees company operations including project management. Sometimes, we switch roles, which is why you might see Heather at an initial consult, or Steve running a project.
