Recently, there was a large-scale data breach involving National Public Data, a company that aggregates and stores data from various sources. Though this breach is not related to TAPCO, it has affected an estimated 272 million individuals nationwide, including potentially some of our valued TAPCO members. 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐍𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐊𝐧𝐨𝐰 National Public Data has confirmed that unauthorized individuals gained access to their database, which may include sensitive information such as names, addresses, social security numbers, and other personal details. Due to the nature of the breach, there is a possibility that your information may be at risk. I’m deeply honored to have been invited by the GoWest Credit Union Association to speak at the MAXX Convention in October about TAPCO Credit Union's partnership in the Credit Builder Pilot Program. This program, in collaboration with the Small Business Resiliency Network (SBRN), focuses on expanding access to capital and supporting the credit-building needs of business owners throughout Washington State. During the Pilot, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with dedicated SBRN partners and witnessing firsthand their impact on small businesses in their communities. Their commitment has been inspiring, and I look forward to continuing these collaborations in the years ahead. I’ve also met incredible, driven entrepreneurs, whose stories have touched me deeply—some have even brought me to tears. I’m immensely proud to work for a Credit Union that recognizes the transformative power of this program and understands the ripple effect that small dollar loans can have on the success and resilience of Washington’s business owners. I’m excited to see my Credit Union friends in Denver for MAXX!
