As we join the conversations at the #NetHope Global Summit, in our new blog post we reflect on how TaroWorks empowers organizations to harness data and technology for greater impact. We’ve seen how farm data can help drive both climate resilience and funding opportunities. Our client, Trees for the Future—recognized by the UN World Restoration Flagship for their outstanding ecosystem restoration efforts—is using TaroWorks and Salesforce to collect, manage, and organize farm data. This has enabled them to streamline their processes to achieve goals like planting 344 million trees and access carbon credit markets, turning carbon sequestration into a new income stream for farmers. By effectively leveraging their data, Trees for the Future is scaling its mission to combat hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation, while providing sustainable support to the farmers and families at the core of our global food systems. 🔗 Read the full story here: https://lnkd.in/g9PgNw-S #Sustainability #CarbonCredits #DataForImpact #DigitalTransformation #Nonprofits #ClimateResilience #TaroWorks #Salesforce #TechForGood #NetHope

TaroWorks reposted this
A recap of #NetHopeSummit2024 so far! - Global nonprofit leaders cited that while technology is getting more advanced and exciting, many of the technologies assume connectivity and similar levels of inclusion/access. The unfortunate reality is that 2.6 billion people worldwide do not have internet access (Christopher Burns), and there are societal challenges like different levels of accessibility for men and women (Carmen Correa). Digital inclusion is key to transforming development to be "digital-first." - Another challenge is “Under-relying" and "Over-relying" on technology. Under-relying: organizations not using existing tools, and spending time and resources re-inventing the wheel. Over-relying: thinking that technology alone can solve problems, where there MUST be good processes first. - Cybersecurity attacks continue to increase, especially for nonprofits, for financial and sensitive population information. Most of these attacks are accessed through a network device without proper data security. Look for systems with advanced data security features! - Despite these challenges, being at NetHope is the place to be to talk about solutions, see what can be done when groups come together, and to be inspired! It's so great to be reuniting with leading global nonprofits and solution providers. Good catching up with great people including Kiindu (Meshack) Mbinda Bill Clinton Owiti Zak Kaufman Caroline Nathan Sarah Miller Rob Jordan Ivy Farrell Michael Duggan Norah Stevens-Kittner Dustin K. Pitts Obviously, how to make existing technology accessible and more inclusive to the populations that need it the most resonates with TaroWorks' mission. If you’re thinking through challenges with digital accessibility and productivity for frontline workers, I’d love to hear from you!
