Our mission is to feed, educate, and serve our community so they may "taste and see the Lord is good" (Psalm 34:8). We believe that everyone should have access to healthy nutritious food. Our vision is to see our community be the response and the solution to the challenges our community faces as it relates to hunger. Our first project, a non-profit restaurant, focuses on healthy, quality meals made from fresh ingredients. Our menu has no prices. This is a give and take concept. We ask guests to do one of the following: 1) pay what you can afford, 2) pay what you would typically pay, or 3) pay what you would typically pay, plus a little extra.

Last week, we were thrilled to receive a $50,000 grant from The Philanthropy Lab. Students from across the country met to decide on funding for nonprofits, and we were honored to be nominated by Chloe, a student from TCU. This grant will help purchase healthy food for our apprentices and volunteers to prepare for guests regardless of their financial means. We are grateful for the support from the Philanthropy Lab.
Taste Project is in the process of renovating the city-owned building at 200 N Cooper Street, into a 100-plus seat full-service restaurant that includes a production kitchen, culinary training classroom, and headquarter office.
