What a day today… TAU Systems is one of the Falling Walls Foundation Venture 2024 winners. Bjorn Manuel Hegelich, our CEO also pitched for the Falling Walls Ventures Startup Science Breakthrough of the year in Berlin, Germany. We are breaking the wall to compact particle accelerators !

Last month the world's largest physics laboratory celebrated its 70th birthday and in that time #CERN has pushed the boundaries of our scientific understanding and driven the development of technologies that play critical roles in medicine, energy, industry, and society. Many people know that the world wide web was invented at CERN, but they may not be aware of the role that accelerators, light sources, and the systems that support them play in other areas of their lives. Accelerators are used every day for medical imaging and radiotherapy to treat cancer. The strong magnets developed at CERN are used in MRI machines and will be instrumental in developing the fusion reactors and efficient power grids of the future. Workers at CERN have also been pioneers in big data and computing, pushing the frontiers of what is possible to manage massive datasets. At TAU Systems, we're proud to be building on the legacy of CERN and organizations like it to deliver the benefits of compact, high-energy accelerators to a wider customer base. Our first system, launching in 2025, will enable radiation testing for space-bound electronics, and future systems will enable in-line X-ray metrology for the semiconductor industry. These technologies build on the foundation created by CERN’s work over the past seven decades.

We just kicked off Phase2 of our TAU Labs buildout that will establish a full fledged #laser, #radiation test and x-ray #metrology service center. Two large clean rooms, shielded radiation areas and powerful lasers. Happy to work again with ID Studios Inc. et al, who did a superb job on Phase 1. Exciting Times!
