Our Portland Division recently volunteered at Kiggins Village in Vancouver, a temporary community offering residents greater access to safe living conditions to help them transition out of homelessness. While there, the team built decks for the homes, finished fencing the dog run, set posts for the community’s exterior fence, and set a flagpole to honor veteran neighbors at Kiggins Village. Our Dallas Division recently held a Day of Giving, dedicating an entire day to volunteering at organizations across the Metroplex. Team members supported organizations like The Humane Society of the United States, The Samaritan Inn, the Texas Ramp Project and more. To top it all of, the team made a significant monetary donation to the North Texas Food Bank, providing over 22,000 meals to community members in need. As we approach Father's Day this Sunday, we’re highlighting a dynamic duo from Florida: our Tampa Community Sales Manager, Peter Sanvidge, and his dad and fellow Community Sales Manager, David Sanvidge. As a teenager, Peter remembers his visits to Esplanade Golf and Country, where his dad worked as a Community Sales Manager. It was there, Peter received an early introduction to our ‘Love the Customer’ philosophy, witnessing his dad roll out the red carpet for his buyers. And on a deeper level, always making sure they were cared for. In the wake of Hurricane Irma in 2017, David and Peter drove homesites to assess and report damage, helping homeowners where needed. “He makes me so very proud to call him dad!” Wishing all our Taylor Morrison dads, stepdads, and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day! #ThisisTMLiving

Last week marked a heartwarming beginning as we welcomed the first patients into our new community of homes—donated to those undergoing treatment at Banner Health's MD Anderson Cancer Center. This community is designed to provide temporary housing and financial assistance to patients who travel to receive care in Gilbert, AZ. Located within walking distance of the cancer center, these homes eliminate the need for travel and hotel expenses, housing 80 patients and their families each year. Our newly acquired Indianapolis Division recently sponsored a local golf outing to raise money for the Sheperd Community Center. The center provides a variety of programs to fight generational poverty while building life-long relationships with community members in need.
