When weld defects arise, custom solutions are essential. Our client approached us with an urgent project to encapsulate and restrain a group of super duplex 1" #1500 RTJ flange-sets after discovering weld defects, likely due to fatigue cracking. We immediately got to work. To ensure the effectiveness of the enclosures, we conducted Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and pressure tested the enclosures in pairs to 360 bar. Our comprehensive approach included a detailed CAD assembly with an adjustable restraint arrangement. A special shout out to the Kendal office and workshop at TEAM, Inc. When a client in the Middle East discovered damage to a critical 48” subsea line, they needed repair products in an expedited timeframe to maintain integrity. #TEAM was selected for this project based on our unparalleled ability to deliver in less than half the lead time of our nearest competitor. When a cleaning pig became stuck in a 900 PSI #naturalgas pipeline, this operator turned to TEAM’s SmartStop™ for a double block and bleed isolation. Within 76 hours of initial contact, TEAM, Inc. was onsite #HotTapping the 10” pipe. The following day, the SmartStop™ provided a 200% seal, allowing the operator to safely and efficiently remove the stuck pig, avoiding a costly shutdown. Once the pig was free and new piping was welded back in place, completion plugs were set, and blind flanges were installed.
