  • 🚨 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 🚨 On September 14, Deputy Ivan Clark, 47, was on East College Avenue, responding to a call in Ruskin, when his vehicle was struck by a Ford F-150 driven by Uriel Garcia Nestor, 25. The impact caused Deputy Clark's vehicle to roll over several times, ejecting him from the vehicle. He was airlifted to Tampa General Hospital and is currently in stable condition. Garcia Nestor was arrested for DUI and registered a BAC of 0.103 and 0.121. "Our thoughts are with Deputy Clark, his family and friends during this difficult time," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers impaired drivers pose to our community. It is deeply disappointing that someone would make the reckless decision to drive impaired, not only endangering their own life but putting everyone else on the road at risk." • ⭐𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲⭐ #teamHCSO is grateful to Hillsborough County Tax Collector Nancy Millan and her incredible staff for hosting a mobile ID event at Falkenburg Road Jail!🙌🏽 Thanks to their efforts, 56 inmates participating in treatment, vocational, and veterans programs received replacement IDs or driver's licenses, which are crucial for securing employment upon release. This initiative is part of Sheriff Chad Chronister's Inmate Program to support successful reentry into our community.💚

  • 🚨𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃🚨 #teamHCSO has arrested a youth counselor at A Kid's Place of Tampa Bay for performing sexual acts on a minor who resided there. "The crimes committed by this woman are vile and cruel," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "She should be ashamed of taking advantage of someone she was trusted to care for and mentor. I hope he is able to begin healing knowing this woman is behind bars.” More:https://lnkd.in/eJZZ8vaE

  • #teamHCSO is investigating a school threat that forced Newsome High School into a lockout for several hours. On Friday, September 13, 2024, at approximately 8:45 a.m., a threat claiming to shoot a teacher and bring a bomb to the campus was posted on Fortify Florida. Deputies immediately responded, placing the school on lockout while several HCSO units systematically maneuvered through it, ensuring the students and staff's safety. After a thorough search, no weapon or credible threat was found. "The turmoil and trauma experienced today by these students, staff, and parents is unimaginable, and no community should ever have to endure such fear and uncertainty," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "Every member of the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, myself included, is committed to deploying every available resource to ensure the safety and security of our schools is not compromised." • ⚠️𝐖𝐎𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐃𝐑𝐈𝐕𝐄-𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐔 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐃𝐔𝐈⚠️ Earlier this morning, #teamHCSO arrested Tiffany McLain, 40, for DUI. McLain was passed out just beyond the drive-thru window of a McDonald's on U.S. Highway 41 in Apollo Beach. She even put her car into drive when deputies woke her. McLain provided breath samples of 0.190 and 0.195. McLain has been arrested for DUI previously, and she was driving on a suspended license. "This type of irresponsibility infuriates me," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "She could have seriously injured others with her ridiculous decision to get behind the wheel intoxicated. I commend our deputies for their swift handling of this potentially dangerous interaction."
