    When Shane D. Naidoo, MD, Emergency Medicine, stepped up to the start line to run a half marathon race, he didn’t know he would also be saving a life. When a fellow runner collapsed from severe dehydration, Dr. Naidoo jumped in to provide critical care to her and stayed with her as she was escorted to the emergency room. His quick decision making, and effective teamwork not only saved the patient’s life but also serves as a powerful reminder of the impact dedicated healthcare professionals have on the community. Dr. Naidoo completed the half marathon race and shared his finisher medal with the patient. Thank you, Dr. Naidoo, for your dedication to patient safety and serving as an inspiration!     TeamHealth delivers exceptional care during life’s pivotal moments. Emergency clinician Matt Riester was supposed to be celebrating his 10th wedding anniversary. Instead, he joined more than 150 TeamHealth clinicians who embodied our best values by volunteering to aid their community and support their neighbors in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene.
