We are proud to support the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation 2023 #CultureOfHealthPrize! All nine Prize winners are enacting change and inspiring communities and policymakers across the nation. Please join us in celebrating these communities’ accomplishments and learn more at https://rwjf.ws/3txLI14.
Congratulations to the incredible 2023 Robert Wood Johnson Foundation #CultureOfHealthPrize winners! 🎈 It’s inspiring to see what is possible when communities come together to address structural racism and other forms of structural discrimination—even if they don’t use those terms—so everyone can reach their best health and wellbeing in the place they call home. Every community is unique, but all of these Prize communities are building and sustaining a Culture of Health through deep cross-sector partnerships; efforts led by those directly affected by inequities; and lasting solutions to improve community conditions that influence health and wellbeing, such as changes to policy and the built environment. We want to celebrate these communities’ accomplishments. Prize winners show what improving health equity looks like, and can inspire other communities and policymakers across the country to take action so everyone and their children can thrive. The winners include: - Austin, TX - Baltimore, MD - Detroit, MI - Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Reservation - Houston, TX - Los Angeles County, CA - Ramsey County, MN - Tacoma, WA - Zuni Pueblo Learn more about the #CultureOfHealthPrize communities leading the way. https://rwjf.ws/3txLI14

We helped support our client The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)'s annual convention in Boston last week. In addition to managing their PR booth, creating social ads and filters, and conducting media outreach for the event, we photographed more than 650 members for their ASHA certification promotion campaign and interviewed nearly 20 for videos to promote ASHA’s advocacy efforts and priorities next year.

I'm thrilled to share that I've been appointed to the Advisory Council of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, a division of The National Institutes of Health. Joining this council will allow me greater insight into the clinical research being done on heart disease and sleep disorders, among other health issues. This new and valuable perspective will inform my work with Women's Heart Alliance (a Subject Matter client), WomenHeart: The National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease, and American Heart Association. I'm grateful for the opportunity. #hearthealth #publichealth

Did you know that nearly 98 million Americans have prediabetes and 81% don’t know they have it? Yet, while Prediabetes captures 1-in-3 adults, you can escape. We’re proud to partner with the Ad Council and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to raise awareness around prediabetes through the launch of the nationwide “Be Your Own Hero” PSA campaign, an iteration of the CDC’s ongoing “Do I Have Prediabetes?” campaign. “Be Your Own Hero” encourages Americans to be their own hero by taking the 1-minute prediabetes risk test so they can know where they stand and prevent or delay type 2 diabetes. “The idea centers around the fact that life can throw a lot at you, whether it’s navigating daily obstacles or managing something much more serious like type 2 diabetes. The “Be Your Own Hero” campaign empowers people with a simple way to stay in control of their health. Our goal is to motivate viewers to take the 1-minute prediabetes risk test, and instead of just telling people to act, we want to encourage them to be the hero in their own story,” our Chief Creative Officer Kevin Richards said. You have the power to escape prediabetes. Check out the campaign and take the risk test at DoIHavePrediabetes.org. https://lnkd.in/eVZKnEJ7
