🎉What an epic day at the 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 & 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿 at Shell Energy! Connecting with some of the best and brightest sports execs in Houston was a game-changer. The evening was packed with a panel discussion and letting attendees showcase themselves as well as soak up knowledge from pros in the industry. The event kicked off with an inspiring panel featuring Houston Dynamo and other leaders in the area, who dropped gems on stepping out of your comfort zone, embracing change, and aligning your passion with your career. From building strong relationships to staying adaptable in an ever-evolving industry, everyone walked away with something to think about as they continue their career journeys. Here are some memorable moments:  ✨ Jessie Vilkofsky: Jessie drove home the importance of taking ownership of your career. She encouraged everyone to actively pursue their goals by setting daily intentions—like reaching out to three new people every day. This practice, she explained, creates momentum and opens doors to new connections that could lead to your next big opportunity. It’s all about consistency and commitment.  ✨Valerie Holland, MBA: Valerie emphasized the value of saying “yes” to unexpected opportunities. She shared that being open to roles you might not have originally considered can lead to massive personal and professional growth. By stepping outside of your comfort zone and remaining adaptable, you not only gain experience but also broaden your network—both key ingredients for long-term success in sports.  ✨Mariah Kleiman: Mariah reflected on her own career path and how TeamWork Online played a pivotal role in helping her land roles. She talked about the impact of attending career fairs like this one, where the chance to meet industry leaders and peers creates meaningful connections. For her, these events have been career-defining moments, showing just how powerful networking can be.  ✨Malena Udani: Malena shared a behind-the-scenes look at what it’s like to manage the Houston Dynamo’s social media presence. From player content to game-day posts, she highlighted the importance of crafting unique marketing strategies for each initiative. Every day brings something new, and Malena emphasized the creativity and flexibility needed to keep fans engaged and excited about the brand.  ✨Jessie Lantz: Jessie’s journey took her to continuing school after undergrad, where she pursued a graduate degree to gain hands-on experience right away. For her, further education was not just about learning—it was about connecting with her peers and professors who helped her expand her network from day one. She reminded attendees that no matter where you start, every step in the sports industry offers a chance to grow and build relationships. It was a day full of energy, inspiration, and endless possibilities!

Who knew a post-work dash could lead to such a big mindset shift? 🤯 After wrapping up my shift at Toronto Heli Tours, I rushed to BMO Field for an MLSE (Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership) and TeamWork Online event. I missed most of the panel (oops!), but when it came to networking, I dove right in. The room was buzzing, and then I spotted a circle forming around Eugene Magno – the guy knows FIFA inside out! ⚽ People were firing off questions, and he had all the answers. But the moment that really stood out? Buffy Filippell’s announcement. Her voice was powerful and warm, pulling everyone in. She threw out a question that got me thinking: “What’s your success?” Honestly, I had no answer. I’ve always been focused on the hustle and grind, never stopping to recognize the small wins. But as she spoke about what success truly means, I found myself reflecting on my time at Azura Associates, Bath & Body Works, George Brown College and now Toronto Heli Tours out, I’ve had plenty of victories – I just hadn’t stopped to celebrate them. 🙌 The real kicker was when she shared a tip about LinkedIn skills. I had 98 listed at age 20. Buffy, with all her experience, had just 15. Her advice? It’s not about the quantity but how well you can back them up. I went home and immediately trimmed mine down to 35, and I’m still refining! And to cap it all off, I enjoyed an Toronto Argonauts game with Bhanu Kapoor – the perfect way to end an unexpectedly insightful day. 🎉 What’s one small victory you’re proud of? Let’s celebrate those wins! 🏆 #Networking #SuccessStory #TinyVictories #MLSE #HeliTours #Argos
