Monday at the Utah State Capitol, we had the incredible opportunity to celebrate women making an impact in STEM careers and education! Several inspiring women were honored and shared their journeys, offering invaluable insights into their experiences and the importance of supporting women in STEM. Tech-Moms co-founder Mikel Blake spoke about her own path into STEM and why it’s critical to create multiple pathways for women to enter the field. Our STEM companies, innovations, and products are strongest when they reflect diverse backgrounds and life experiences. A special highlight of the event was the reading of Utah’s bipartisan resolution passed in 2024 supporting women in STEM education and careers, sponsored by Senator Kathleen Riebe. This resolution is a significant step in ensuring that more women have the opportunities and support they need to thrive in STEM fields. What an incredible week it’s been for Tech-Moms! Last week was a whirlwind of inspiration and connection! Several of our amazing women attended the Silicon Slopes Summit 2025, and it was an unforgettable experience. From powerful speakers to incredible networking opportunities, the energy and inspiration were unmatched.
