About us
Teens Under Construction is a mentoring and counseling organization, servicing at-risk youth ages 15 – 24. Clients are often referred through “word of mouth” and personal and professional referrals. We are currently operating out of Yonkers, Hastings-on-Hudson and White Plains, NY. Teens Under Construction was created in response to the opportunity gaps faced by youth, especially within the lower-income communities of color, and the lack of resources to address the issue. TUC prides itself in incorporating hip hop culture into our vision to engage youth and reinforce youth development and empowerment.

Using Hip-Hop music and culture as tools for healing, personal growth, and self-expression, Teens Under Construction helps young people build the resources to overcome challenges and strengthen their resilience. We recently visited Teens Under Construction, Inc.'s Free Store event at the Ridge Hill Mall, where items donated through our Essential Goods for Basic Needs program were distributed to those in need in our community. It was heartwarming to see our donations in action: Bombas socks, Bluetooth headphones from Toys for Tots, Coats from World of Giving, Clothing and household items from Walmart, Books, and Brooklinen bedding, linens, and clothing This is our Essential Goods for Basic Needs program at work –connecting donations of goods from businesses and retail partners to local nonprofits and ultimately to those in need within our community Together, we're building a stronger Westchester!
