We would like to congratulate Deputy Chief Probation Officer Clayton Bennett, Deputy Chief Probation Officer Nicole Fain, Juvenile Detention Facility Superintendent Todd Hansen, DPO III Jesse Bain, and DPO III Cade Miller on their new roles with our department. 

Our officers have been working the Park Fire in Tehama County alongside our allied agencies. We encourage everyone to know your zone and stay out of evacuation area. Follow the Tehama County Sheriff’s Office, Cal Fire Tehama-Glenn Unit and CHP-Red Bluff to stay up to date on evacuation information and road closures. #caprobation

July 21-27, 2024, is Pretrial, Probation, and Parole Supervision Week. We are proud of the work our officers do in our community every day, balancing opportunity and accountability. As the justice system continues to change, probation departments often taken on new and challenging tasks to ensure public safety, while working with community partners to impact change in the community we work and live in. We are excited to announce the arrival of Chief Probation Officer Pamela Gonzalez effective June 10, 2024. Chief Gonzalez is a long time Tehama County resident and has over twenty-five years of service in law enforcement. She began her career at the Shasta County Sheriff's Office before coming to the Tehama County Probation Department where she worked until 2019. Most recently before returning to our department, she worked for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation. She earned a bachelor’s degree in social work and a master's degree in counseling psychology. Chief Gonzalez is passionate about keeping her community safe by collaborating community partners in providing opportunity, rehabilitation, and accountability. #CAprobation
