Chroma Energy Group has secured a deal with Visit Knoxville & the City of Knoxville to put solar panels on the Sunsphere! Edward Rottmann founded the company about 15 months ago and said the sustainable energy landscape in Knoxville has changed drastically during that period. “It’s Knoxville’s way of showcasing its support for renewable energy,” Rottmann said. Kim Bumpas, CDME, CMP with Visit Knoxville agreed that it's a big stepping stone for the city's future, while also acknowledging Knoxville's past. Salt & Light is launching its first cohort in March 2025 to support eight marginalized founders. This mission-led initiative pairs financial investment with hands-on coaching and mentorship to help founders build sustainable businesses. Isaac, who is the owner of eight Knoxville-based businesses - including Pannell Construction LLC is on a mission to uplift underrepresented entrepreneurs. “My goal with this is to prove to these founders that they’re not alone. They have people in their corner that they can lean on, ask advice, and share hardships with,” he said.
