  • Patient Service Representative Marius Alexander was recently nominated for recognition by a colleague who had this to say about him. Thank you Marius for everything you do for TOA! "Every day is a good day when Marius is in the office. He is always kind, patient with others, engaging with patients, and never complains. One day, his co-worker had a medical emergency and couldn't be here to help out during an especially busy afternoon. Marius was not only gracious and compassionate with his colleague, but went above and beyond to keep things running smoothly in the clinic, handling the front desk alone with two fully booked clinics and a busy afternoon of PT. He did it all with a great attitude and even checked on others in the clinic to see if there was anything else he could do to be helpful to them. People like Marius make working here a complete joy."

  • Dr. J.W. Thomas Byrd, Beth Bardowski, Ashley Campbell, and Mike Voight were all invited faculty members, with Ashley and Mike serving as chair and vice chair of the ortho rehab sessions, at the annual Ortho Summit Meeting in Las Vegas. This year, Dr. Byrd was honored with the OSET Lifetime Achievement Award and was surprised by his daughter, Ellen who flew in to present him with his award. Nashville Hip Institute at TOA nurse, Ashley Civils was in attendance, along with former NHI PT, Becky Stealy for the meeting and awards. The entire team is grateful for the opportunity to educate others on hip pathologies, as well as learn from many great practitioners across the world! Next stop...Washington, DC - ISHA 2024.

  • Trish Davis, Orthopaedic Technician at TOA’s Clarksville location, was recently nominated for recognition by a teammate for being the epitome of teamwork and positive workplace culture. There are so many examples of Trish going above and beyond for our patients. Just one example includes a time that a patient had a medical emergency while in our parking lot and without hesitation, Trish hurried to their side, rendering aid and comfort, until the ambulance arrived. Trish stayed with the patient and her mom, arranged rides to the hospital for the family, and made calls to keep everyone informed. That’s just the kind of person that Trish is. She’s always willing to help and is such a great teammate. She makes sure everyone feels special on their birthdays by ordering cake and staying late or coming in early to decorate. Trish is a real MVP and we’re so glad she’s part of the TOA family!
