Students are headed back to school across West Virginia! We checked in on the progress of Nicholas County, WV's newest school construction projects this week. TERRADON is providing construction testing and inspection services for the new facilities in Richwood and Summersville. TERRADON is proud to have worked on hundreds of K-12 and higher education projects throughout the state. We wish all of WV's students a safe and happy school year!

Ryan Wheeler, Vice President of Business Development at TERRADON Corporation, was recently appointed to fill an empty seat on the Hurricane City Council. Wheeler, a longtime Hurricane, WV resident, is excited to continue the growth of Hurricane and serving its citizens. TERRADON is proud of its team members who strive to give back to our communities! Congratulations to TERRADON team members Robert Fuller and Wesley Ward on their recent accomplishments! Fuller becomes TERRADON’s most recent Virginia Licensed Professional Surveyor and Ward recently obtained his Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification from the American Welding Society. TERRADON team members continue to expand licensure and certifications to benefit our customers. Congratulations to Robert and Wesley!

Congratulations to Josh Holderer on successfully passing the National Association of State Boards of Geology (ASBOG) Practice of Geology (PG) Licensure exam to become TERRADON's latest licensed Professional Geologist (PG), licensed in Pennsylvania. The PG licensure allows Professional Geologist’s to offer geologic services to the public in states that register geologists by examination. Congratulations Josh!

Congratulations to Senior Geologist, Mike Pickens on successfully passing the Licensed Remediation Specialist (LRS) exam, becoming TERRADON's latest licensed LRS. The LRS program identifies individuals who are qualified to supervise the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites. Congratulations Mike!

TERRADON’s Field Services group spent the afternoon at the Mountaineer Challenge Academy (MCA) Career Day in Montgomery, WV. TERRADON was one of more than 50 businesses at the career fair that are helping show MCA cadets exposure to different industries.

TERRDON’s Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) Team recently completed an interesting project in Raleigh County, WV. Contractors needed to core through a footing without damaging the reinforcing. TERRADON’s crews utilized GPR to scan the structure and layout of the rebar, so that the core could be safely drilled, without damaging the reinforcing. Solid job by the TERRADON GPR team! #engineeringexcellence #engineeringsolutions #groundpenetratingradar

TERRADON’s entire Field Services department underwent annual training today in Charleston, WV. Made up from employees from five office locations, the Field Services group works in five states. 2023 proved to be a year of excellence for the team as they maintained a zero incident rate, obtained AASHTO laboratory certification and expanded services into Virginia and North Carolina. It’s always a great day to have the whole group together in one place! The Field Services team continues to grow. We are looking for QA/QC Inspectors and a Laboratory Technician. Congratulations TERRADON team for achieving AASHTO accreditation at our Poca, WV materials testing laboratory!

TERRADON’s Matt Glaspey and Warren Friend recently attended the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) National Conference held near Washington, DC. The CMAA is an industry association dedicated to the practice of professional construction management and governs the only internationally recognized standard of construction management with the Certified Construction Management (CCM) credential. Glaspey is one of only 13 CCM’s in the state of WV.
