Such a great event! It was an invaluable experience for our participating members.

Last week, our Executive Board attended the Fintech South Conference! We had the opportunity to expand our knowledge of Fintech through educational seminars and breakout sessions that covered topics such as leading FinTechs, regtech, B2B payments, and Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, we got to meet with industry professionals and other students pursuing FinTech. This conference showed us what the future has in store for FinTech! A special thanks to Bob Trotter, Georgia Fintech Academy, and Fintech South!

Last month, we visited BlackRock’s Atlanta office! Our members had the opportunity to learn about the company’s culture and innovative solutions while connecting with various professionals and UGA alumni. A special thank you to Maranie Brown, MBT, Marc Balizer, Britney Lewis, Jalen S., Reuben Thomas Pullolickal, Emory Weyand, Daisha P., and Jelicza Thomas for welcoming us and taking the time to connect with our members!

For our last meeting of the year, our Director of Finance, Donovan Vanderpool, and his team presented their year-long work on our society's second annual Mock Cryptocurrency Portfolio. The group generated an impressive 88.66% ROI! Great work Donovan, Sid Yalavarthi, Noah Piontek, Morgan LeeMaster, Raul Perez, and Julian Penzes!

This week we partnered with the UGA Mentor Program to bring a panel of alumni to the University of Georgia - Terry College of Business to discuss their experiences in the fintech industry. Thank you to our panelists, Tracie Arnold, PMP, Antoinette S., Gasan Awad, Tyler Acree, and Amy Hull, for joining us and sharing invaluable advice with our members!

For our last meeting of the semester, we were joined by Mandi Simpson and Jeff Palgon from Crowe! Our members learned about Crowe's exciting partnerships with fintechs, the Crowe culture, and student opportunities at Crowe. Thank you, Mandi and Jeff!

This week, we were joined by Zachary Miller and Jacob Osborne from Equifax! Our members had the opportunity to learn about student opportunities and the fintech landscape at Equifax and hear about Zach and Jake’s personal and professional journeys. Thank you both!

Earlier this week, we welcomed our first guest speaker of the year, Mitch Rutledge, CEO & Co-Founder of Vertice AI! Mitch shared the Vertice AI startup story with us and gave valuable life and job search advice. Thanks for joining us, Mitch! #fintech #terrycollege #verticeai
