Texas Health Southwest's Sunshine Committee is a group dedicated to enhancing the workplace environment by organizing fun and engaging events for employees. Their goal is to spread joy, foster a sense of community, and boost morale among staff members. They plan and host themed events, celebrations, and activities that bring employees together, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere within the hospital, each quarter. 🌞 The Sunshine Committee recently planned a post-Mardi Gras styled event! 🎭✨The event included a vibrant shoebox parade through the hospital, a festive street scene in the cafeteria breezeway, a delicious king cake, fun noise makers and, of course, beads! Employees lined up for treats and photos, making it a day to remember. We love this! 💙💚💙💚 #Get2KnowTexasHealth

Congratulations to Texas Health HEB for earning the designation as a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) by the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), a level higher than previously held by the hospital. “This milestone is thanks to the collaborative teamwork across all departments. Our 16-bed NICU cares for nearly 230 babies a year and this designation from the state recognizes our efforts to provide our smallest patients with high-quality care that leads to positive outcomes and a successful transition home,” said Christina Fankboner, M.S.N., RNC-NIC, NICU and breastfeeding support nursing manager at Texas Health HEB. What an outstanding accomplishment! https://bit.ly/4bGYD2J #Get2KnowTexasHealth

Community Time Off (CTO) allows Texas Health employees to serve and volunteer with outside organizations, schools and nonprofits in our local service areas. And our employees have been busy supporting our communities. • Texas Health Cleburne's team members volunteered at the East Cleburne Community Center during Kids Night Out! The team brought several fun and heart health centered activities to the event. Participants enjoyed Heart Health Bingo, got their hearts pumping while moving and grooving with Exercise Instructor Perla and gained hands on knowledge about CPR. • Texas Health Alliance's volunteers joined Keller Independent School District and Keller ISD Council of PTAs at the 28th Annual Casey's Fun Run and Family Health Expo. To see so many of our community members out enjoying the weather and participating in the run was fantastic! • Texas Health Breeze Cedar Hill and Desoto clinics' site manager attended the Cedar Hill Block Party! We love giving back to the communities we serve. #Get2KnowTexasHealth #GivingBack #ServingOurCommunity #Volunteering
