October is National Bullying Prevention month. Bullying amongst nurses has become so normalized that they may not recognize it happening. Nurses will take the abuse and continue the cycle with other nurses. Let's stop the cycle! Know your self-worth and speak up!

TPAPN was honored to be exhibiting at the TNA D4 Mock Trial today. Fall is upon us, and we all know that with the lovely cooler temperatures, things like the flu virus start popping up. Staying physically healthy is a huge part of staying mentally healthy. What a good time for an annual check-up! #mentalhealthishealth

Taking a moment to acknowledge things you're grateful for is one way you can decrease stress and help you maintain a positive outlook on your life. Ways to do this include journaling, meditation, yoga, taking a walk in nature, and reflecting on how you've overcome past obstacles.

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! You can prevent bullying in your organization by establishing an open door policy, speaking up, leading by example, taking all reports of bullying seriously and most importantly, being kind!

Today TPAPN honors Dr. lldaura Murillo-Rhode who founded the National Association of Hispanic Nurses in 1975, leading the way for Hispanic nurses in the U.S. Thank you to her and all our amazing colleagues in the Hispanic/Latino community.
