🚀 Exciting Week at Law Schools! 🚀 Last week, our TYLA leaders had the fantastic opportunity to visit some of Texas's premier law schools during 1L orientation. We are thrilled to have had our TYLA President Hisham Masri, TYLA President-Elect Alyson Martinez, TYLA Immediate Past President Laura Pratt, TYLA Secretary Garrett Couts, TYLA Director Tim Adams, and State Bar of Texas President Steve Benesh connect with the next generation of legal minds! The schools visited included: 📍 Thurgood Marshall School of Law 📍 Texas A&M University School of Law 📍 Texas Tech University School of Law At Texas A&M, our visit was enhanced with a special panel, "Reaching Your Goals," featuring Judge Nicole Munoz, Kayla Dailey (ED for Tarrant County Bar), and Greg Franklin from Greenberg Traurig. These incredible law school alumni shared their journeys and the pivotal role that community involvement plays in achieving success in the legal field. TYLA is pleased to announce it will receive a $45,000 grant from the Texas Bar Foundation. Under the leadership of President Hisham Masri, TYLA will use these funds to create a new website aimed at educating prospective and current law students about the legal profession and attending law school. TYLA is so grateful for the continued support of the Texas Bar Foundation!

This was Day 2 of 2024SMC. Texas law schools wrestle with issues of civil law for a shot at oral argument before the Justices of the Texas Supreme Court.
