Celebrate Friendship, our first live-action campaign, is our way of sharing these beautiful moments of connection with the world. We wanted to go beyond the screens to show what those moments look like in real life—the joy of planning or creating something special for a friend and the warmth of being on the receiving end of that kindness. And we wanted this message to resonate with a wider, multi-generational audience, so when the idea to use A Tribe Called Quest’s iconic “Can I Kick It” came up, we knew it was the perfect fit. The song’s upbeat energy, timeless appeal, and celebration of friendship make it an ideal choice—not just for longtime Sky fans, but for anyone who understands the simple joy of spending time with friends. Last month, we went big for the 5th anniversary of Sky: Children of the Light. We wanted to live up to the moment! 🎉 Over the course of the weekend, thousands of players came together in both Tokyo and in-game at SkyFest: an exploration of the art, history, and future of Sky. Players joined in on the festivities by gathering at the new Cinema, an immersive video streaming experience enabling players to enjoy a shared interactive moment together. 700,000 concurrent players shared watching the developer talks and trailers featured throughout the event.
