I need your help to save lives and save lives and make a difference for our ALS PALS." - Dewey, Jessy Ybarra's 10 year-old son, in a recorded statement presented to U.S. Senators. Jessy, a veteran living with #ALS and Board of Trustees member, provided crucial testimony Wednesday at a Senate forum addressing the impact of NIH funding cuts on critical research for diseases like ALS. But it was Dewey who stole the show, asking Senators to help him be a "hero" to his father by helping prevent these research funding cuts. Thank you Senator Tammy Baldwin and Senator Peter Welch for hosting today's briefing, and to all of the Senators and panelists for their supportive statements today.
