⭐️10 FOUNDER FACTS ⭐️ Hi there 🙋🏻♀️ It’s been a minute since I’ve introduced myself and shared the face behind the brand ✨ I’m Kristina Valiani, founder and CEO of The Beauty of Hope 🕯️ A luxury spa candle company on a mission to see human trafficking end ❌ 1. I began my career in esthetician school at 18 years old. 2. For 3 years I served on the Washington State Board of Cosmetology and Esthetics. I had the honor of assisting in rolling out the Masters Esthetician program for my home state. 3. Before starting The Beauty of Hope in 2015 I worked in the treatment room and then eventually Director of Sales for a professional skincare brand. 4. I always knew I wanted to start my own business and do it debt free. I spent years setting aside enough to launch my own brand. Slow and steady, but worth it! 5. My family and friends were slightly concerned when they found out I resigned from a six figure salary to make candles in my kitchen 🧐. Can’t say I blame them but I knew in my gut this was the right move. 6. Candle making was new for me since skincare was my background. While I was designing the packaging, branding and website preparing to launch to the spa industry I set up booths at as many farmers markets in my area as possible. I rotated 5 markets a week the entire summer in 90 degree heat learning first hand from the consumer. 7. Outside of work you will find me spending as much time as possible with my husband Justin and daughter Isabelle ♥️ 8. My favorite ways to spend down time are spa days at @redmtnresort, reading my newest novel from @bookofthemonth and exploring @zionnps 9. I auditioned for the popular TV show Shark Tank for multiple years. Made it all the way to meeting the producers. I’m thankful in the end that it didn’t amount to more. Owning 100% of my company is worth more than any investment. Slow and steady… 10. In nearly 9 years of running a small business there’s never been single day that I wanted to give up. Ensuring brand guidelines were met for The Ritz-Carlton as well as capturing the serenity of this iconic property spanned over a year in the making. The scent story is uplifting, bright and brings Southern California's ocean shores to life with notes of Pomelo, Grapefruit & Peach 🍊🌊

One of our most creative custom candle projects The Beauty of Hope designed during 2023 was for the Waldorf Astoria Chicago 🎄🎁❄️ The talented Spa Director Kelly Gasspari-Fleming requested an entire collection designed just for this property, starting with “A Gold Coast Holiday”, notes of Spruce, Cedar and Cypress 🌲🌲🌲
