Balancing technology and the environment
About us
The Lindbergh Foundation furthers the pioneering legacy of Charles and Anne by promoting innovation in the technology and uses of flight, while honoring the Lindberghs’ unique emphasis on balance. The Lindbergh Foundation was founded in 1977 by Neil Armstrong, General James Doolittle, Sir Edmund Hillary and other friends of Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh. It has a rich pedigree in aviation, and a strong track record of supporting innovators. It is governed by a board that consists of prominent names in aerospace. The Lindbergh Foundation's newest program - the Lindbergh Innovation Forum - is a global platform to showcase breakthrough innovation in aviation. It features inspiring and provocative presentations by entrepreneurs and inventors, that expose the audience to leading edge concepts that are shaping the future of flight. It demonstrates how key breakthroughs will dramatically change our conception of an aircraft, and how these coming changes will affect us all. The Lindbergh Innovation Forum also provides the aviation community with a unique opportunity to participate in the future of aviation by developing valuable, mutually beneficial connections with aviation trailblazers. The Lindbergh Foundation is a 501(c)(3), tax exempt nonprofit organization.

At the Lindbergh Foundation, we are overjoyed that the recent EPIC STEM event was a true success, thanks to the overwhelming enthusiasm and support from our youth and attendees. None of this would have been possible without our incredible sponsors: Starfish Education, Spirit of St. Louis 100, Saint Louis Science Center, YES Youth Exploring Science Program, Starrag, and Seyer Industries. Mentoring the youth in aviation and aerospace dynamics is crucial for our industry's future success. We deeply appreciate the invaluable support from our forward-thinking partners. We recieved a great note from Izayah Hudnut - the Spirit is indeed thriving in St. Louis! #spirit100 #lindberghfoundation #escapefromgravity https://lnkd.in/gCGzZW7M
Took my first flight at St. Louis Downtown Airport, inspired by a chance encounter with Erik Lindbergh. I even got a first look at the new Spirit of St. Louis! With the 100th anniversary approaching, I’m excited to see the The Lindbergh Foundation’s impact on STL!

Info requested: What can you tell us about this artifact that Erik Lindbergh inherited from Charles A. Lindbergh (C.A.L.)? According to the Author of the extraordinary new book "A Convenient Villain" Dr. Jonathan Reich, Charles Lindbergh made two remarkable contributions to medicine which are not well known. Friends in DC can learn more by joining a free lecture with Dr. Reich for a book talk at the National Museum of Health and Medicine in Maryland on October 6th. https://lnkd.in/g2a7sMEx #LindberghFoundation #escapefromgravity #SpiritofSt.Louis100
