Some colour-coordinated fun around Soho last week 🐔🥰
An egg-cellent day! 🐔🐓 It was The Writer’s Summer Day Out on Friday and I had the pleasure of helping to plan the day as part of the Culture Team. From chasing a chicken around London and completing hilarious challenges, to bringing the house down with our stunning (and very in tune) rendition of ‘Unwritten’, it was a fantastic opportunity to unwind and connect with our lovely team. Seeing everyone come together and have such a laugh reminded me that it’s not just about the work we do - it's about the people we do it with and the moments we share. A huge thank you to the team at Chicken Rush 🧡 we had such a silly and wonderful time, and the team haven’t stopped talking about it since!

Our Story: The Birth of Chicken Rush "How did you two meet? Let me tell you about a boy, dating, and a second-hand chicken suit from eBay. It all started with a university game called "Ou Est le Poulet" – racing to find a friend in a chicken costume hiding in a nearby pub. Years later, I pondered: what if that game had a location-tracking app? After late nights and lots of coffee hidden away in my bedroom, Chicken Rush was born. Bugs and all, but it just about worked. Our first little stunt, was to play the game with only one type of person... Singles. Why? Because modern dating has been ruined by algorithm-fuelled, swiping-addicted, shareholder value-increasing morons. So, we launched our Blind Dates events, where chasing a Chicken became the ultimate icebreaker. Result? Countless relationships, all armed with the perfect "How did you two meet?" answer. Our success made waves, earning us accolades as one of London's Coolest Dating Events by the Evening Standard & Cosmopolitan. We tweaked the game, added new features and forced ourselves to make each game even more fun. Momentum grew, we took the game abroad (Madrid, New York, Sao Paolo) and landed in universities, with students organising games for up to 200 students at a time 🚀 And more recently, Corporates came knocking. Bored of the darts, the bowling and the standard scavenger hunts... Chasing a Chicken (or the boss, or an intern) is now a bit of a viral craze. Stay tuned for more updates, there's a lot going on in the coop! 🐔 #chickenrush #startup #growth
