Columbus Regional Airport Authority President and CEO Joe Nardone believes the current terminal has seen better days: Repair costs are adding up, parts are harder to come by and the terminal lacks the modern features that passengers and airlines expect. Nardone recently shared with the Dispatch's Mark Williams, "It is time for a new terminal. To keep this old terminal, to continue spending money on an asset that is past its useful life, is foolish." Therefore, the airport authority is set to begin construction on a new $2 billion terminal early in 2025, officially starting work on a project that airport officials have talked about for more than a decade. As Ohioans we mourn the loss of an Ohio political icon, and political glass-ceiling breaker, Jo Ann Davidson. For decades, Davidson was a fixture in Republican politics at the national, state and local levels by applying a dawn-to-midnight work ethic to master the political game, listening to all views and exhibiting patience. Davidson's grace, inclusive nature, and hard work mentality is viewed by many as the epitome of a public servant. May our thoughts be with her family, her friends, and all those fortunate to know Speaker Davidson. https://lnkd.in/eK2j3EvR
